Prepare Raw Organic Apple Cider Vinegar at Home

For this recipe, you will need the following:

Sugar

Organic apples

Water

Clean the apples and slice them into small pieces. Place the sliced apples in a jar and add some sugar; the amount of sugar should be 1% of the weight of the apples such as 10 grams of sugar for 1 kilogram of apples. Add water to fill the jar and cover with gauze. Let the mixture rest in room temperature of 20 degrees. The sugar fastens fermentation and will be gone in the end product.

After 7 to 10 days, the mixture will start releasing a sour odor and will only get stronger. After 4 weeks taste the sourness of the vinegar and if everything is ok, strain and store in clean glass bottles.
