Heavy Consumption of Alcohol

Drinking too much alcohol can lead to liver damage. Your liver will be unable to remove the toxins from the body because its main focus is diverted to converting alcohol into less toxic form. This leads to cases of inflammation and fatty liver disease.

The chemical reaction by the liver to breakdown alcohol can cause extensive damage over time leading to scarring of the liver or cirrhosis. This leads to loss of liver function.

Eating too Much Salt

According to experts, you should not exceed 2,400 milligrams of salt daily. Fast foods have high salt content of up to 10,000 milligrams and this is bad for your health especially if you have a pre-existing liver condition.

Eating lots of Processed Foods

If you eat too much processed foods, you load your body with sugars and this can cause scar tissue that leads to cirrhosis. Natural sugars are good for you because they have dietary fiber and therefore, metabolize slowly. However, Unnatural sugars from processed foods have plenty of sugar without any dietary fiber and are bad for your health.

Avoiding Breakfast

Skipping breakfast is a not good for your health. It is a practice that can lead to weight gain, and being overweight leads to liver problems. You should eat a hearty breakfast that has the RDI of nutrients.
