The liver plays the important role of detoxifying the body and producing albumin, the richest protein in the blood. The liver is also responsible for protecting you from contracting certain ailments but this does not mean that it’s safe from diseases.

These foods will keep your liver healthy:


This fruit has high amounts of pectin that removes toxins from the digestive tract. This helps the liver by alleviating some of the burden.


Garlic is good for the liver as it triggers the liver to produce enzymes that speed up the flushing out of toxins. It also has high allicin and selenium levels, compounds that perform liver cleansing.
