How to Cure Tinea Faciei (ringworms of the face)

You can get a fungal reaction on any part of your body such as your scalp, the feet or even on your privates. If you get such an infection on your face, then it is known as tinea faciei. They are prevalent among the little ones but adults get them too.

This is a circular patch that is scaly and is either pink or red. It can be itchy especially when exposed to direct sunlight. What’s more, they cause hair to fall off and this leaves you looking weird.

Ringworms spread fast to other parts of the body and it’s important to seek medical attention. Your doctor will prescribe an antifungal cream that eliminates the infection in 4 to 6 weeks. You can use the following home remedies instead as they are effective and don’t present any side effects.

Coconut Oil

This type of oil is effective at killing fungi that causes ringworms of the face. Just apply regularly on the affected area and your problem will be no more.

Apple Cider Vinegar

ACV has antifungal properties and is good for this type of infection. Dilute it with equal amount of water and apply on the affected area.

Garlic

Peel a garlic clove and cut it in half and rub on the affected part.

Tea Tree Oil

This is an effective antifungal agent but you must dilute with carrier oil first before applying on the affected area. Apply three times a day for improved results.

Lavender Oil

Take some lavender oil and dilute with jojoba or carrier oil and apply on the infected area.

Turmeric

Add a few drops of water to a teaspoon of turmeric to make a paste and apply on the affected part.

Aloe Vera Gel

Applying this gel on the skin will remove all fungi and keep your skin looking young.
