Hibiscus Drink Sample Recipe

This flowering plant has many surprising health benefits as discussed here. It can be turned into a beverage such as Hibiscus Tea (Agua de Jamaica). To make this drink you will need the following ingredients:

Dried hibiscus flowers

Sugar

Two quarts of water

Ginger slices

Cinnamon stick

Lime juice

Lime slices

Allspice berries

Orange

The following is an easy to prepare hibiscus recipe:

Mix four cups of water and sugar in a medium saucepan.

Add the ginger slices, allspice berries and cinnamon until the water boils and the sugar completely dissolves.

Remove the ingredients from the heat and stir the dried hibiscus in the mixture.

Cover the saucepan and allow it to sit for about twenty minutes.

Strain into a pitcher and discard all the used ingredients.

You can chill or store the concentrate until the drink is made.

You can add some lime juice or chilled soda water to taste. This drink will give your body tons of benefits and promote your overall well being.
